I'm trying to find a new online TV guide. (Please don't offer Netflix, etc as an option -- I don't want to go there)
Anyway, I used to use zap2it.com, but they 'improved' their sit. I think they are aiming at mobile users. In the process, they took out many of my favorite options -- 6 hour grids, changeable channel lineups, etc.
I tried TVGuide -- and it looked marginally acceptable -- except that it won't remember my settings. I login, and I've loosened my security for them, but every day is a new start.
So, if anyone knows of something a little more flexible, please let me know. I actually watch very little, and it's usually some obscure show that I happen across while searching the channels. I really used to like zap2it, because I could scan through in a short time. Oh well,
hi hj ,,,i use zap,,, i get the 6 hr,,, think it depends on your settings ,,,took me awhile to refind it after i lost the settings ,,, give me couple days ill find the click for you
i think i might have misled you hj sorry,,,,i always got to zap2it through my local newspaper,,,,,,this was first time i went to there website and it is different,,,,,newspaper 1 has a setting that is called preference and thats were i changed to 2 6 hours,,,, good luck
They're using the old style zap2it interface. I logged in, and everything was there.
tvtitan is still a good deal, but they do get me in one area. f I try to set it for more than the default 3 hour display, it acts up. The grid starts out fine, but then it keeps shrinking toward the left side until it's basically unreadable. Happens on 2 computers, but maybe it's me.
Anyway, if anybody's interested in the old zap2it, that's where it is now. (Note to yahoo -- please don't update!)
Maybe try toggling the "full width" option in display? I just tried all the way out to 6 hours and it does "shrink" to fit all the info into available screen resolution.
