Load Rated Tire Recommendations
go to your local truck stop that has a cat scale. They will give you steer, drive and total weight.
do it empty and then do it with the trailer. That is about the only way to know where you stand.
For SRW on the side wall multiply by two what ever the max load at 80 psi is.
Changing tires to a different size or manufacture may increase what the tire can carry.
I have been and will be heavier (have had rear axel to 6250lbs).

I wound up going with a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3s. I had a set years ago on another vehicle and they seemed to be a pretty good tire. So far with my F250 they have been pretty good with traction in rain and mud that I have encountered. I was looking at a few different tires like the Toyos/ Nittos line ups. I was close to pulling the trigger on a set of 35s from Toyo. Price was not really a factor since I was ready to spend that kind of money. However, the coopers had a pretty sweet deal attached to them which made them better choice at the time. (Really good price with rebate and 0% on the Ford charge for a bunch of months vs 1400 up front was a no brainer for taking 2 less inches in my book.)
No. The spare tire is the same as what the truck came with. LT265/70R17 BFG AT.
See answer above.
Word of advice. I looked at trying to keep the stock rims and go with larger tires. Many of the larger sizes wanted a larger rim to mount on. This would mean to keep the 17s I would have need to go to 17x9 rims to make larger rubber work. Since getting new rims for around 800-1000 was going to cut into the tire budget, I lucked out and found a set of take offs local to the area. Since they were OEM, I knew they were going to rated for load. I could get the tires for them if I were somewhere not close to home. I should have access to a "common size" within a day. Quite frankly, I am very happy with the decision I made when it came to my rubber and rims.
Good luck.
