2004 S/D 4x4 V10 F-250 72,000 miles.
Replaced Battery about 6 months ago. I have tested the Battery today and it's fine. I had replaced starter at same time.
The issue I'm having now is that the engine will not start.
Behaves as if the Battery has low charge state, Which is not the case. Starter engages and will "crank" for a turn or two and thats it. like low charge on battery.
I dont know what to look for next, except pull the starter and test it. Fluids at Level.
Check and clean all connections between battery and starter. How did you check the battery? Did you load test it or just volt test it with a multimeter? Have to load test it to get accurate results.

How did you test your battery to determine its good? What is it's resting voltage? S/be 12.8-12.9 volts.
What is the charging voltage at the battery while running? S/be 13.2-13.8 volts, maybe up to 14.2 if little resistance.
My ideas or checklist...
Alternator issue? I've replaced 3 of them over 300k miles.
Bad battery even if only 6 months old.
Terminals need cleaning.
Positive battery cable needs replacing.
yes the battery tested out at 12.8 vdc after load test. will look at wire connections all the way to the starter. Cant move the darn thing. Truck actually had to be pushed back home. Died in town, So I pushed it back with the squeak mobile . strapped a tire on the front and back home we went. Now it sit's in the middle of the drive way ,in the melting snow. Hopefully I can get it in the Garage over the weekend here. Got to work on Saturday so maybe Sunday.
Up-date. Turns out to be the starter. Again. Check the battery. Which was Good on all counts. Disconnected battery cables. Removed starter. Found the starter shaft stuck out/failed to retract. As the engine was operating, flywheel exercised starter to levels of a stress test. Starter needs to be resuscitated. Installed new Starter, Again. Connected all cables. Engine running as designed. For now.
Now on to replacing the oil dip stick tube and figure out a way to get the door ajar light on the dash to turn off..Thank you to All, for the Help and Guiding.
