I'm thinking about doing the lightning motor swap, air bag the suspension and that's about it. Maybe doing a custom paint job. Anyone know how much the motor swap will cost me?

Are you looking to swap for a Lightning engine? What do you have now?
I have a 92XLT longbedwith a first gen.Lightning motor/tran. It's my worktruck I've put 120'000 on it in four years.It's the fastest truck i've ever had.
Wow--you lightning guy's are tight.
I'd say Martyrossow asked the wrong group about building up his truck.
Lightnings are nice but what's the big deal with driving a " wheel barrel" around at 150 mph?
If you want a sports car--- buy a sports car.
Well, I guess I can say I have driven a lightning now. My boss at work just sold his new H2 (what a piece of crap!) and got a 02' lightning. He let me take it for a spin and man, what a truck. Made some smoke and one little donut and sheeze...nice!
wow, i was thinking of doing the same thing, and it seems as if you guys would HATE SOMEONE for trying?
here is my dillema~ I WOULD PREFER AN EXT. CAB, LOVE THE LIGHTNING THOUGH!
CANT AFFORD PAYMENTS ON ONE EITHER!
Is an F150 w/ a 5.4 and a KB on it, that far off from a stock lightning's power?
I need a new work truck, but i want something strong and good looking!
