I found an old thread on this issue but my numbers were not on that thread though they were similar. I have Allied Signal P/N 1825878C91 S/N BDL45411. Can see Garrett cast into the cold side. I have searched high and low on the www and have found nothing like these numbers.
Thanks,
Mark

If it's a performance turbo. Someone did a bit of work to this truck and I am trying to figure out what all they did.

I believe that's the stock early '99 turbo. The 1825878C91 is a Navistar/IH part number.

Wikipedia references would probably qualify as searching "low" on the www, but here's the succinct history, straight from (anyone's) mouth:

Garrett AiResearch was a manufacturer of turboprop engines and turbochargers, and a pioneer in numerous aerospace technologies. It was previously known as Aircraft Tool and Supply Company, Garrett Supply Company, AiResearch Manufacturing Company, or simply AiResearch. In 1968, Garrett AiResearch merged with Signal Oil & Gas to form Signal Companies, which in 1985 merged with Allied Corp. into AlliedSignal. In 1999 AlliedSignal acquired Honeywell and adopted the Honeywell name.

And there you have it. My 1999 manufactured stock compressor housing has both Garrett cast on the side as well as "Allied Signal" on a bar code label on top.

It is a slight of hand in business names, much like the current "AT&T" was actually the eviscerated skeleton of it's former Ma Bell self, that was purchased a few years ago by the much, much, much larger "baby bell" Southern Bell Communications, a company that since the 1984 breakup of the original AT&T, grew from a baby to a giant, swallowing companies like GTE, Pacific Bell, Pacific Telesis, and several other baby bells whole. It finally went after it's skinny mama, buying AT&T and adopting the name it bought. Allied Signal bought Honeywell, and renamed itself Honeywell.
