87 E150 fuel tank switch

87 E150 fuel tank switch
I just bought a 87 E150 (wrecked) to part out. The truck has dual fuel tanks but I haven't found a tank switch yet. I owned a 79 E250 that had one just to the left of the steering column inder the dash. Any suggestions on where to locate one on this truck?

87 E150 fuel tank switch
The '86 I owned was where you stated. Maybe the switch got relocated or removed. Any stray wires there?

87 E150 fuel tank switch
We found the switch today, it was stuffed up in the wiring behind the dash panel. Wondering now if there was a problem with one of the pumps. A bud went under the truck and I turned the ign switch on with the selector in both potisions. He said he heard the pump in each tank as selected came on.
