I'm trying to get rid of that horrible sounding buzzer for the seatbelt warning in my 1984 F150. Does andone know where the buzzer is located and if i remove it, will it affect anything?
the buzzer is located over your Glover Box.
If you have the buzzer in hand the best is to open the box. Cut the two thin wires and the buzzer won't work anymore. Put the buzzer back, otherwise you fasten seat belt light won't work also....
If you want a pic of that damn thing.....just drop a line
There are wires that come from the seatbelt assembly and connect behind the seat with a pull apart connector that allows you to remove the wiring when you remove the seat. Unplug it and the buzzing will stop.
I just disconnected the buzzer negative power, and the buzzer is off, but the seatbelt light comes on still, which is what i wanted. is there a headlight or key buzzer in these?
