Cluster question

Question fellas, is the coolant temp gauge in our cluster replaceable? Mines stuck and only moves on occasion, senders good. If not and I'm forced to buy a whole cluster on flebay does the ecm tell the readout the milage or am i stuck w the used clusters milage? FYI, i have a post in the parts wanted section if applicable... Thanks.

You can replace just that segment, that contains the oil and temp gauges. LMC has them, or you might just find one on eBay. Might even be cheaper to buy a while cluster at the boneyard.

I have seen a couple times where the face of the gauge comes loose and sits on the pointer shaft which doesn't allow it to move. to fix it I just remove the cluster, remove the clear lens and center the face plate and than take a tooth pick and put a few drops of black silicon on the edges. let dry and re install.

Is it safe to assume you've already tried replacing the sending unit?
