The spankings continue. Had the wife come out and turn the wheels with the truck running and OMG, the truck goes one way and the axle the other. New mission before work, Remove track bar drop bracket. (8" drop Pro Comp) I then cleaned it up and welded the cross member mount back together ( I welded and gusseted the frame mounting side 2 yrs ago) and also made some gussets for this side, welded those on gave it a coat of flat black and remounted bracket and trackbar and headed to work again. the steering feels tight again and although it didn't wobble I can feel it wanting to. Now Im almost positive that this bracket is getting broken during the death wobble for it is a VERY violent ordeal, and with the gussets I've added I don't think it will break again. That being said there is still an underling problem. I'm expecting my new PMF twin stabilizer set up w/ Bilstein's any day now ( a better bandaid) but would really like to hear from people who have tried the Adj. trackbar w/ solid mounts or the +castor fix or anything that has truly fixed this issue. No joke Has your 2014 Super Duty Death Wobbled............................yet?
"I was a loyal Ford owner for years - Now I'm not - Ford's idea, not mine!" Tylus, I'm almost there!
my stance is due to Ford and how they handle warranty work. I've had issues with 4 brand new Fords that Ford essentially dropped the ball on.
to be fair, your issues are/were created by you. factory size tires don't generally develop death wobble. it seems to only occur 99.9% of the time with oversize tires.
I hear ya but to be fair I never modified the ficm, oil cooler, egr, standpipes dummy plugs, head bolts, diesel smell in cab, window scratches and um a few other non modified parts.

My bone stock 2008 XLT CC 5.4L 4X4 did it for the first time at 46K. I do agree that larger tires/lifting/modifying the suspension will probably exagerate the issue, but stock trucks can do it as well.
I agree that stock can. But its more prevalent on lifted. Probably the only drawback for the 05+ front suspension. Never had it on my current leaf setup

My friend has a 2009 F250 SD 4WD that is completely stock, and he first told me about his death wobbles shortly after I bought my 2010. wish i had heard that earlier and stayed away from Ford.
My death-wobble experience.
Truck- 2005 CC F250, lifted 5.5 inches with 35X13.5-18 ATZs
I did not have an issue with the death-wobble until I had some miles on the lift. I believe most of my problem was the worn out upper bushing in the adjustable Icon track bar or the track bar balljoint.
I changed out that bar with a Carli track bar (replaced lower track bar balljoint) and increased my caster from 3.5 to 4.5. I changed to the Carli bar because it decreased the operating angle on the lower joint. I no longer have any issues with wobble. The caster change really made it track a lot better with the wide tires.
Thanks for your input Iron2 that's pretty much what I'm looking at doing besides maybe buying or re design my drop bracket which also seems to be a weak link in my setup, Thanks again to all that have responded, any one else fixed this problem for good?
Did anyone try the caster kit I keep hearing about? You install this offset gizmo in the lower bolt hole of the arms that attach to the rear of the axle. Then you adjust them till the wobble stops. Supposedly stock caster is a 1. a setting of 3 or so seems to be good for stock trucks.
After replacing nearly everything in the front end, including the steering box, over the course of a year I think my problem has finally been discovered and dealt with. One of the front locking hubs was damaged and would engage and disengage at random. I have replaced both of them and hoping that this is the last of this frustrating problem. 2002 F250 XLT 4X4 Extended cab 8' bed

Reason: More information
Sounds like that could cause the front end to wobble. I got my trac bar replaced and replaced the OEM steering damper with a Bilstein. Have not had the death wobble since. I was going to replace the tracbar with the RedayLift bar, but decided against it when several people mentioned that the heim joints wear out fast. Also ReadyLift did not answer my emails about cost and availability of the heim replacement part.
I am also now running my tires at 65 psi front and rear, which makes for a bone jarring ride. Let's hope our issues are resolved!

Dodge trucks do the death wobble also.
It comes down to maintenance and a lift requires more of it.
