In the Market 13 or 14 F150
Current ride F350 CC V10 2003 with 93k on it. Lariat
Looking at Supercrew in F4 or Lariat trim, and probably 5.0 motor.
Don't tow that often and when I do its 7000 pounds or so. Maybe 2 times a year from PA to Florida.
But locally a couple Platinum (2013) with 6.2 sitting there. What would be reasonable offer from invoice for a 2013 now, at that high of a trim level?
Also noticed this 3.5 eco-boost, which I grew up in 80's when everything got a blower or a turbo, but didnt last more than 10 years without major problems. All makes and models had them, then they were gone, so that's why I like the 5.0. Unless someone can convince me otherwise.
What rear end is liked by most in these?
Haqvent been around the F-150, so any advise is appreciated.

you might be able to walk away with a 13' 6.2 platinum for 40-44k?

Thanks. Figure they got 5k extra on top of sticker(about 55k on them) to invoice but that only puts invoice at 50. Maybe knock off a little at the higher trim. even at 49 invoice they got to be making $1500 in there. But being 13, they got a drop like a brick when pulled off lot compared to 14.
Fuel is concern, but not huge one. V-10 gets about 9 around town where it spends 90 percent of time. Heard the 5.0 is getting mid teens from buddy with one. Also heard the 6.2 isn't so hot there in the 11-13 range, which I don't really want. That's in town.
Highway I might see 14-15.
I see the 3.55 as most common on these rear ends, occasionally a 3.73 I see. Any problems with that 3.55 as I am looking at whats on lot, not ordering something.
Trims- I know the Platinum is high up there but anyone got something good or bad to add comparing the F4 and Lariat. Know I want the center console shift tranny, and leather buckets. Hard to find a Lariat around here, mostly the other levels.
Also navigation, yeah or nay?
Thanks everyone

I have a 2013 FX4 5.0 with 3.55 gears, I don't tow anything and don't have any real problems. I wouldn't worry if you can only get the 3.55 but 3.73 would be better.
The on board navagation is ok. You can't put in an address while you are driving...even if the passenger is doing it. A regular Garmin is my prefered choice, maybe only because I used it for years before getting this truck.
The FX4 does seem to have a softer suspension setup aimed at off road use, that may not be what you want for towing.
I picked the 5.0 because I didn't want a V6 turbo.
Good luck negotiating, I would think you could get a great deal on a 2013 right now. Look a little farther away, a few hours drive home in a new truck could be worth several thousand dollars.

thanks for input on suspension. we do one trip to outer banks every year and stay up in the beach area, 8 miles from pavement. I lower my tire pressure to avoid plowing into it. Guess I'm saying I 4x4 in snow more than mud, but wouldn't mind the soft suspension after 11 years with leaf springs and solid axles on both ends. My towing is so minor, but thought I would mention it.
