More than likely you have 3.73 gears. The stock exhaust Y is horrible as well. Lots of posts about exhaust, intake and computer mods to help. A different alternative to a gear swap is to drop down to a 245/75R16 tire. About 30.5" tall.
My truck came with P235/75R16 tires on the rear. About 29" tall. The truck ran like a raped ape. When I replaced those with the correct LT265/75R16 (31.5") the difference was very noticeable.
