Guess I really dont know what you are looking for but bottom line is that the dpf is PROGRAMMED in your pcm and the only way around it is to delete out of the pcm. And that takes a programmer or tuner. If you want to get around a tuner and still take off your dpf there is one option. Take off you dpf, throw it in the trash. Go to ford and buy you a new one and put it on. There you go. You get to take of YOUR dpf and buy no tuner and you dont blow up your truck.

If you are wanting to Delete your truck. you'll need a delete pipe and an OFF ROAD Tuner.. Not just any old SCT. you need an Off road tuner that will allow you to disable the DPF, Spartan ect. just make sure you can do select DPF disabled. then you will be fine. you don't have to run high HP tunes you can run Stock No Regen but i cna't stress enough if you delete it you'll need that tuner. without it, idk that the truck would run? others will chime in but i would thin without all the sensors hooked up it would put the truck in limp mode. if it will run though your going to be harming the engine it will probably be in constant Regen..... like i said others will chime in on what would happen if you don't reprogram it.

As everyone already stated, you need a tuner (off-road) and a delete pipe. The pipe is cheap, given todays metal prices. My understanding is that in the US the tuners are rather expensive, most over $1000.00. You can buy some more economical ones off of ebay.ca.

Bully dog does not have a programmer to delete the DPF so I don't think that would work. I am pretty sure you need a programmer that has DPF DELETE ON IT.

Personally running an SCT model 3015R tuner. A lot of the big tuner companies like Edge and Bullydog have gotten out of the DPF delete tuners. They were going to be, or have been sued by the EPA for circumventing federal emission regulations. So they got out of the business. Those that are still in it are now charging significantly more money.

I have not put the pipe on yet and I would've done wayyy more research before if I know I was going to be in this situation my only question is I don't understand how the truck would recognize the pipe isnt there whenever it has a plug for the sensor to go it still should just let it come out exhaust regardless of pipe being there or not I need a FULL explantion on how it can tell its gone and everything y'all have all given great answers but i still don't 100% understand how it can tell

It can't. That is why you need a tuner to tell it that it is gone. And when it goes into regen and does not get the feed back it is expecting from the various sensors it will most likely stay in perpetual regen creating high egt's and potential fuel wash ultimately ending up in your oil.

Imagine if turning off the DPF (without any repercussions) was as simple as unplugging a wire. Everyone would do it. The EPA is smarter than that.
