88 exhaust input

Have a 1988 F350 Dually 460 EFI and have up-graded to a fifth wheel camper. After last outing noticed a exhaust manifold leak on the left side. Replaced and right side went next and replaced that one as well. Thinking of repacing with 2.5 inch with larger cats with flow master mufflers. Should I think about 3 inch as well ? Thanks for time
