I have a '99 EB Expy and it came with a support/grab handle on the front passenger side but did not come with a supportgrab handle on the front driver side. Can anyone tell me where I can find one or what I need to do to get one installed. I talked with the Ford dealer hear and they could tell me nothing. Help please!
I appreciate the humor guys but I have seen the handles on the driver side on newer Expections and several other automobile makes. Thanks. I'll keep checking.
Thanks Fordcr. It's not my imagination. I have seen them on other Ford models. Hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction to help me get one mounted on the driver side of my Expy.
my 99 has the fittings for it , junk yard should have one laying around and install the passenger side handle upside down and it should fit on drivers side good luck
I have an '03 EB that has the handle on both sides... I love it, because it puts less stress on the steering column. I'm 6'1", 185 lbs., and I use it to pull myself into the truck. Keep looking, they're out there.
Thanks Firefyter,
I knew I had seen them on other newer models. I'll keep searching. You are right. I am over 200 lbs. and see the advantage of the handle to reduce stress on the steering wheel. The step is a little awkward to negotiate also when just using the wheel to help pull yourself in.
