Wiper question

OK, so this has been one of those minor "what the hell?" things I noticed on my rig and I'm wondering if it's something weird on mine or if this is factory designed.

The wiper stalk - for front wipers, the first detent is the slowest setting...the further you turn it the shorter the interval between sweeps, with the last detent before steady on having a very short interval between sweeps...the firs detent after that is the 'slow' steady on, the next setting is the 'fast' steady on.

The rear wipers are reversed...the first detent has the shorter delay between sweeps...the second detent has the longer delay between sweeps.

Is this something on all rigs, or did maybe the prior owner replace something on mine that has reversed my settings?

With my 03, the first dent up on the rear wiper is the longest delay between wipes, with the next one up being the quickest setting. There are only two settings, besides the spray and clean setting...

I don't think I've ever used mine, but now I want to check.

******UPDATE*******

Mine is the same the first setting is a 2-3 second delay the second is around 10 seconds.

...and that would make sense since it matches the front wipers...but...

...this one is like mine, with the first setting being a 'faster' intermittent and the second setting being a 'slower' intermittent...so maybe they made a change between the 01 and 03 model years?

my old 2000 Ex was like yours, but both my '02 and '04 are opposite and the first click is slow second is faster for the rear.

must have been one of those changes they made in 2002.
