These are the same as the pin-outs in my manuals. If you go down the lists you'll see many differences. Don't get me wrong, not overwhelmed about this, just wanted to make sure before I start that my assumption is correct. The new computer will be the FLY1 we spoke of yesterday mot likely. Thanks again guys.
I think that's your answer right there. Just match things up as needed.
Also, be careful when removing the pins from the connector. The plastic can get brittle and the clips on the inside of the connector can be fragile. If you break one of those clips then the wire you insert in that hole won't stay put. Replacements can be bought if needed.
A screwdriver will work to remove the pins but I have had better luck with a tool like this that has a slight angle - http://www.imgur.com/2JQfOPj.jpeg
Yea, I thought I was assuming rightly, but its always good to get a second set of eyes to look at everything. Pin work is not a problem, did advanced electronics in the NAVY way back. I appreciate all your responses. Thank You.
Paul and RIKIL, thanks for the input. Just by looking it seems probably 10-12 pins will need to be moved besides adding the injectors and MAF, does that sound about right.
It wouldn't surprise me knowing these Ford trucks, the total isn't a lot smaller when doing a conversion with a Mustang PCM on a truck with a mechanical transmission.
Paul, I have another semi related question, sorry, but I think part of what's got me chasing my tail (in my mind) is that this is a 94 truck e4od and doing the MAF and computer from a 95 I'm gonna have to deal with the change in the tranny solenoid pack, correct. That's probably why the wiring diagram is different.
