Dash lights and heater
I have a weird one. First when I go to start it up, while the glow plugs are heating, the left half of the speedo light starts flashing. A few weeks ago the right side of the dash lights for the temp and tranny temp went out. The red needles were still shining but the back light was gone. That came back and the the speedo flashing started. Plus I only have defroster on the heater all of a sudden. No matter what button I select, I just get defroster. Fan works at all settings and the issue is the same in auto mode or manual mode.

Doesn't really sound like the PCM, it sounds more like a couple of issues. The Dash panels have issues with the solder joints breaking. Cold weather exaggerates the problem.
The defroster issue is most likely caused by a vacuum leak. If the truck is 4x4 with ESOF it's usually at the hubs.
