Got the grandson a 1991 Ranger xlt extended cab 3.0 a4ld air, ps, pb, cc with 68,000 actual miles.
I did a tune up and knocked either a vacuum line or cap off the vacuum tree on the back of the intake manifold. I can't find a hose laying loose. does anybody know what it might be. The modulator, fp, hvac, pb, cc, lines are on. it is the port on the passenger side lower next to fp, hvac port.
There is a vacuum line to the air cleaner that operates a bimetal valve to act as a heat stove taking warm air from next to the passenger side exhaust manifold to the air cleaner box until the engine is warmed up. Could it be that vacuum line?
