I finally decided to get the Tbird rear end installed for summer driving. Using the Dave Held [truckirs.com] kit that I bought awhile back. I know that it is not as attractive as some on here, but I am not a fabricator and want to keep it simple and back on the road asap. Got it all line up and leveled. Going to tack it in then a friend who is a master welder is coming to finish the welding.
I got it running today and actually drove it for the first time, but just in the driveway. Found out two things right away, it takes off very quick and the brakes work great. I took off much faster than I thought and had to stop quick since my driveway isn't very long and there is a gate
I also woke up any neighbors who might have been taking an afternoon nap as so far I have only headers. Sorry, no pics since I was the only one here...
Now that is a wonderful monumental achievement , CONGRATS!!!!!!!!
Hey Topper,
Congratulations!!! You took that beautiful truck out in the storm?
Nice to have brakes.
Looking great in Houston!

Ben, we got rain but it was after I "drove" the truck. It will be a while before I take it out on the road in the rain or dry - need to get the doors and glass installed, the bed, the tail lights, etc.
