This guy has lost his flippin mind

Laugh of the week. Ebay item # 321360880007
This guy has been listing grilles recently for ridiculous money, Here's the sad news, some of you, (speaking in general) have actually bought his crap.
First look at what his buy it now price is, , second read the description, third look at pictures. I laughed so hard, but I was also thinking, someone is going to buy it. Doesn't anyone read descriptions, look at pictures?
Prior to this grille, he said to "ask other sellers if their headlight bezels were original or that reproduced china crap."
He just sold an "original" 69 Ranger grille to a member here I believe. For a stupid price. The grille had reproduced headlight bezels from Dennis Carpenter. He then painted the headlight bezels (NON Ranger) to look like the Ranger bezels, sort of.
Can you believe this crap?

Funny cause I just seem to be selling an authentic one of a kind 1972 f100 in mint condition with nice patina (surface rust) that only needs a driver who also happens to be a mechanic... . All for the low, low price of one million dollars, you're practically stealing it from me...

Some people will fall for anything and take peoples word at face value and they shall be called "His Customers."

Did you notice in his description, he puts my stuff down.
I don't just pay attention to grilles, I look at all items. I try to help the sellers who list things with improper titles or descriptions. Some take my advise some don't. Just like the guy who is selling a 65 grille titled as a 62. I sent him a message advising him of this but he hasn't changed the title.
There's plenty of room for sellers selling parts I just wish they would do it with correct titles and descriptions.

But, all that is ok..it is all offset by his generous free shipping

The PO of my truck kinda crimped in the right side of the grill frame, and kinda busted up the egg crates. Just going to see how well I can straighten it out....at those prices for a grill assembly, I will never have a new one.

Of course, mine had to be the one year only type....harder to find. Might look around for one of the 67 steel paintable ones, but that would of course be incorrect for a 70.

So are the DC bezels made in china or USA? With original tooling?

Expensive indeed. I just bought a nice grille for $100. Did I pay too much?

There are TWO different 1970 grille shells, TWO different types of grille inserts.

Early 1970's came with R & L specific grille inserts, all other 1970's came with grille inserts that are the same R/L

The tabs in the grille shells that these inserts mount to are specific to these two types of grille inserts.

1971 & 1972 R & L grille inserts will not fit either of these 1970 grille shells.

A NOS 1970 grille (D0TZ-9002-D) just sold on ebay for cheap. D0TZ-8200-D includes the shell and the inserts that are the same R & L

I feel lucky that I was able to pick up a 70 shell with inserts, only 1 headlight trim for $50. Faded but not dinged or bent.

A friend of a friend took my crushed grille and is going to try and straighten it, take the dings out and polish it. Will see how that turns out.

Another friend, who did my upholstery, is attempting to learn and practice aluminum welding, so I got a bunch of thin aluminum bars, gave him the bars and my broken eggshells, and he is going to see wht he can come up with.

May also have him try a set from steel slats, and have them chromed.

Also looking at perhaps making inserts that instead of looking like eggcrates that look like beehives instead. Something different and unique to my truck.
