Talking Coil spacers?

Hi, I have a 1996 ford f150 single cab, short bed, 2wd, 5.0 v8. I just recently bought 16 inch rims and new mud tires. I was hoping to get alittle more clearance in the front by leveling it out. Or if possible make kind of a stance by lifting the front end higher than the back end. What's the cheapest and most reasonable way to do this? I read about coil spacers, any reviews and luck? Thanks for the help

Thank you for the warm welcoming lol. But cheaper wise. And easiest installation. Would coil spacers be the way to go. Why do you prefer coil springs over coil spacers. And wouldn't new springs make it a really stiff ride?

well, you have to take the springs out to put the spacers in, so it is not any easier to use the spacers.
and i have seen springs not seat properly in the spacers, or move in them.
i also had a few vehicles towed in that had the springs pop out because the spacers were not done properly..

Lol. But in order to put new springs on. You also have to take the old ones off. So for both ways, taking the springs off come into play.

correct.

what i meant was, some people think just tossing a set of spacers in is easier than putting in new springs. it is actually a few more steps, and takes longer to do than just popping new springs in.

Go with new springs, there's a ton if information on here about them. Someone put those screw in spacers in mine before I bought it, I replaced the springs with Moog 844's and it lifted it even more. My alignment guy says that the spacers that go between the coils make it harder to line the front end back up.

i agree go with new springs, i went with the spacers because they were cheaper but i think they ride worse than regular springs. They were also a pain to get in as my old springs still have plenty of life and weren't easy to compress

All depends on how much you want to lift it. What size tires did you get?

To clear those on a 2wd, you're going to want at least a 2.5" lift, preferably a 4". Here's some options that aren't extremely expensive: 1995 Ford F150 Suspension Lift Kits

You could do a 3" body lift as well.
