Looking at ordering a bunch of stuff tonight on lmc to get free shipping. We are looking at buying bumpers and there are two different sizes of bumpers bracket holes. I have a 1976 f15p custom. How do I know what I have. Also anyone ever bought replacement doors on lmc? Anygood?
I haven'y purchased the doors, but have seriously considered it as an option. If you do get them, I would be glad to know how they turn out. Can't be that bad... Right?
Tip: With any bumper, I like to paint the back side with either POR-15 or gloss black Rustoleum to seal the surface. Plus the slick surface has low surface friction which makes hosing off mud/dirt/grit is really easy.
I have a 1976 F150 styleside. I'm looking at getting both front and rear. They are going to be the original style bumpers. Not the step ones.
The front bumper (without horizontal bumper pads) is the same: 1964/77 F100/350 & 1978 F100/350 before serial number AG0,001.
The rear bumper and its brackets are specific to 1973/79 F100/250's with 37 1/2" width between the inner rear frame rails behind the cab. I seem to recall that the LMC catalog calls these rails 38."
Different rear bumper/brackets: 33 1/2" width between the inner rear frame rails behind the cab: 1973/79 F250 4WD & F350.
