Hearing of you guys running a chip, and I couldn't stand it any more, so I found a TS chip that is susposed to have Tony Wildman's tunes, for cheap. But it only has 3 tunes fast idle, extreem, and no start. No stock sitting. Kind of weird choices I thought, but it didn't cost much. The problem I'm having is it will randomly go to fast idle, then return to normal without touching the control ****. When it goes to fast idle, turning the control **** does nothing. I can drive the truck, and will drive as normal, other than it won't idle below 1200 rpms. What is going on, did I install it wrong, or is there something messd up with the chip?
It could be a faulty control switch Tom. I think the only way to know is try a different one. You could send Tony and email or call him and see what he says. I think high idle is just the stock tune with the high idle.

Thanks for the replies guys. My first thought was the wires were jumping across the terminals on the switch, but they looked good when I checked. When it decideds to change to fast idle, or back to normal it will give a surge of power that lasts for 1/4-1/2 second. Just long enough to tell me it changed. I'll just keep driving it for a while and see if it gets better or worse.
Well it is extreme as my stock injectors will let it. It does have more power, and it will puff smoke if i lug it. I have never seen any of my trucks smoke, other than cold start smoke.
