econoline e250 5.4 programmers ??????
I have 10 99-2003 e250 and e 350 's I would like to put a fuel programmer for better fuel economy. I seen one G-force and would like to know if anyone has had success with this one or any other that really does work. I am not looking for more power as the 5.4 does great with a 2000 - 4000 lb load in the back. I get on avg about 14 mpg but we drive about 10000 mils s a month ! Yes 10000. I spend about $2000 @ month on fuel per van. So even increasing mpg 2-3 would be great. Any real world experience would be helpful .Thanks

Visit the V10 forums on FTE and read about Mike @ 5 Star Tuning. While he seems to be THE go-to guy for that motor he's just as likely to have something suitable for the V8 too.
Pay close attention to his customer service----there's few in any business I've seen anywhere who seems to enjoy anything even close to his customer satisfaction rate.

Better economy, ROTFLMAO, I've had my 99 E-350 ext since 2002 and the MPG was 15 HWY, as it aged it started going down, I installed a superchip microtuner into it shortly after purchase, with dual exhaust, the transmission shift pattern update probably increased my mileage during towing, but not anything you'll really notice, aside the years it adds to the transmission life. You are not going to see it being worth it I'm afraid, it's for power, helps in towing, not for saving gas.
