Air dam
How has taking the air dam off effected anyone's truck, I'm either going to have to take it off, be more careful, or it's going to get ripped off this fall. I'm not very concerned about mpg. If I was I'd buy a horse.

I trimmed mine down to almost nothing(don't take it off since there will be exposed holes that look bad)and I really didn't notice a mileage drop. I can still get around 13mpg easily in the summer and around 11.5-12 in the winter. This is with mostly short trips(12-40miles one way) and with the 4.30 gears.

The 2wd one is shorter? I would be interested in a trade in that case if the OP's is in good condition.

Its true for the newer ones. 08-14. I don't think there is a difference for the older trucks 99-07. But I could've jumped the gun. However most people who have the older gen trucks don't usually mention the valence being an issue. :-/

99-07 has one size air dam. I don't have one and get 18mpg in my lifted 4x4 with big mud tires. Idk, you tell me if its making a difference. I don't think so. Not as much as some other things.
I'll be getting one for aesthetic purposes. Assuming I funny rip it off.
