Stuff I don't like

Guys... I just have to sound off here about this because it is something I hate.... Ford Speedo Gears..... you ever swap one? They have left hand and right hand versions depending on where the speedo cable enters the tail housing... best part... a lot of people selling them don't know the difference so you constantly get the wrong one... worse they are pretty expensive and easy to lose, so when you change gear rations and then transmissions you constantly need to locate or purchase the correct gear....
What is worse... all this non-sense could have been avoided is the engineers had the right common sense to mount the driven gear above the drive gear on one side and below it on the other, the geas would be swappable... another loss of common sense.

Had to rant this one out!

Hope you feel better now?

OTOH we can't re-engineer past parts or devices so we're either stuck learning what's what or buying brand new stuff we can trade in first time it needs maintenance.

What Ford and every other manufacturer should have done isn't for us to say after its in production or a generation or two after its been superseded by something "new & improved". We all have the perfect solution after the fact right?
