tripometer dispay question

This morning after I fueled up, I reset both tripometers as I usually do after filling the tank. When I went to the second tripometer screen there was an orangish rectangular box over the display. I have not seen this before. Any ideas as to what it is or the purpose? Thanks in advance for your help. BTW, I have a 2012 Lariat Supercrew with the ecoBoost engine....

Tripometer display question

Sorry, but this got posted in the wrong forum! After refilling the tank this morning I reset both tripometers. When I went to set the second one, the screen was highlighted by an orangish rectangular box. Never saw this before, and I have had the truck for over a year. Any ideas? I was successful after a few attempts to reset it and the display vanished. Thanks for your help in advance as I know someone will know the answer!!........

For mine (2013 SCrew) it means that the trip you are on is paused. Press OK on the steering wheel then the box should go away and it starts back up. Hope this helps.
