Got a '87 (truck) 302 in my '50 F1 pickup....Question: Would a set of Flowtek headers listed as being for a " 69-79 Ford F100 302".....bolt onto my block ok?
Don't think there will be clearance issues otherwise. If there happened to be on the steering shaft, I would just cut/reroute and reweld anyway.
Any 302 headers will bolt on any 302 motor, vehicle clearance is the only concern.
Thanks very much Conan....I thought that was the case but being a Chevy guy (I've seen the light now) for so long I just don't know alot of stuff about Ford engines and wanted to ask one of you "gurus" on here who does.
Thanks again...this is a wealth-of-knowledge forum. Mighty glad I joined.
A lot of headers come real close to the starter motor. This has caused early starter failures. I think one of mine comes close enough to one of the terminals that I had to wrap duct tape covered with foil around it to prevent it from touching. You can avoid this problem with one of those compact PM starters.
