A buddy of mine has a 2003 Ford Ranger Edge V6 3.0L, he got the code P1450 the other day and asked me to look at it. Got all the info on what it could be but where exactually is the EVAP canister and CV solenoid located? And what do you think is the problem?
I'll see you don't have any replies, so I'll see if I can get things started.
P1450 is evap system can't purge fuel tank, so do you have any other trouble codes, like one for the purge valve???? Have you located the purge valve & if so, checked its electrical connections & see if it clicks when your helper turns the ignition to ON??? Your repair manual should show its location & if you don't have one, have a look on line in the Auto Zone web site. Or follow its vacuum line connection from the intake manafold connection over to the purge valve. Let us know what you find.
