Will leveling my 08 f250 2.5 inches throw my caster out of spec or not? If so, how do I adjust it back to within spec? I have done a lot of research and keep getting conflicting info. Thanks.
I put the Pro-Comp #62667K Kit in my 2006 F250 (2.5 front / 2.0 rear) & YES u will need an alignment afterwards.
In fact the Camber was so bad on mine they had to replace the Camber Bushings with a different Deg....
Alignment, new Bushings & Labor cost me $300
i put mini packs on mine came with new U bolts tract bar spacers and i got about 3 inches out of it for $120. took about 3 hours to put on taking my time by myself. ride quality is the same because its the stock springs. no camber changes because no shackles. i would highly recomend it. got it on ebay from suspension connection or something like that, they are everywhere. GET AN ADJUSTABLE TRACT BAR!!! i cheaped out and went with the drop bracket spacers and it took like 2 hours to try and get the stock bolts to line up, so i went to home depot and got some longer grade 8s and solved that problem. but now i have a crooked steering wheel so i have to adjust my drag link to straighten it. no big deal but it just makes life easier. zone sells them for 99 bucks on amazon.com.
All SuperDuty's have a Solid-Axle, in fact i believe my 06' & your 08' are exactly the same axle's. I may be wrong calling them Camber Bushings after checking my Receipt (which iam uploading below) anyway this was my experience...Good Luck
Also, there are available adjustable radius arms, but they are pricey.
The drop brackets will work, and are probably the easiest to install. I think the brackets for the 3.5" kit will work, but you will need the alignment shop to adjust some caster back out of it through the bushing.
You may be able to get enough positive caster with a new bushing.
I am not sure how much a 2" spacer lift varies from a 2.5" spacer, but my 2" rough country did NOT need adjustment. I took to a very good 4x4 shop and they completed a alignement test and it was unchanged. (nor did I feel a difference)
I installed this kit on my truck. It comes with an adjustable track bar, springs, Bilstein 5100, brake line extension, and castor shims. After installation took it to the alignment shop and all they had to do was adjust the steering wheel. I also installed Moog ball joints at the same time. I am very happy with the look and ride.
