I have an original bench seat, but don't know the bolt size offhand. I'll try to check if the weather lets up - truck is out back and cold rain is the order of the day and tomorrow morning. The bolt you need is the one attaching the seat to the bracket?
Thanks, it's raining here also. I brought my truck with no seat. I'm in process of doing interior now. I've tried a few bolts in threaded hole in floor and none will go in without stopping, which makes me believe they may be fine thread instead of standard threads. Could be buggered up or need chasing? I have recovered the seat I found and was trying to figure out bolt size. My manual was no help. Thanks again!
Well the parts catalog picture says the bolt to the cab floor is 20348-S.
Now those numbers I have a hard time finding in the text catalog.
I've got the bolts in a bag in the garage somewhere. I can see if I can find them, but I'm heading out the door in just a minute. So I thought I would give you something before I left.
OK Ross, so how did you find that? And what page is that on?
Is there some trick or is it just years of practice?
OK I found it on page 788 in Section 400, but the picture of the seat in the illustrated catalog is section 600. I still want to know how you found it. I sure wish that pdf was searchable, dang.
Just a lot of scrolling thru the Body section. I've seen the seats in there before, so I just looked for the seat tracks. They normally put the attaching hardware with pieces like that. It would REALLY be nice if you could search on numbers or words in the manual!!
Glad others got you the info before I got around to it. Wished I had the skills and abilities of others on the forum. Looks like that is the right bolt. I had trouble with ordering bolts and nuts when I did my bed wood and strips last summer with the wrong thread count of one verses the other being delivered. Was easier to just go by the local home store where I could use their thread count pattern attached to the shelf to get the right one. Must be nice to be able to use the parts catalog like others can.
