51 bed swap
I have a 51 F3 but decided to convert to F1, sold the flattie and putting in 302 ford with AOD. Want my Dad to enjoy this summer. The 8 foot bed is really rough, finding F1 bed much easier, will go with smaller wheels, with 8 inch ford rear. Update steering, suspension, heat and AC, yes AC. This will be my costliest build but I want it to last and be a driver.

The 48-early 50 beds are different than the late 50-52. They are the same dimensions, but the early version has a raised panel in the side, with a corresponding indent in the fenders to match. On the late version, the bed sides are completely flat, so the fenders mating surface does not have the indent notch.
The reason I bring this up is that if you find a good early bed and decide to use it, make sure to get the correct fenders as they will not be the same between the two.
