my heaviest load was 10,000 pounds of wood, on 4000 ish pound trailer. didnt do terrible, but wouldnt do that much again. took all back road gravel so i could run 45mph without others riding me.
You towed 10,000 with an F-150??? Wow! I am not looking for anything near that- I'd be a little hesitant to do that in some F-250's!
after i did it i dont think i would do it again either, it was deceptive because the way the trailer is set up with the axles there isnt as much tongue weight as normal, me not knowing that yet said she isnt sagging put some more on until it was just about touching the overloads, then discovered how much was back there when i hit the brakes, but luckily i was on gravel so it wasnt a problem (as in no panic stops or other people for that matter)
I'm assuming that's a Massey 540? According to my brochure, that thing should be about 14,000# with the head! I wouldn't tow that much with anything less than an F350 Dually! I assume that you modified that F150 a bit- either that, or your springs were good!
