I was wondering if anyone had some shots of what the factory 300 a/c bracket looks like.
I've got one of those Nostalgic A/C systems (just recently found out the brand) that I pulled out of my old s-cab, and I've been considering putting it in my highboy this summer. I'd need a new condenser, and figure out how to mount the compressor. I don't think the old style brackets will work, but I figured I'd see.
If all else fails, I could probably build one. Then it would just be a matter of figuring out how to mount two brackets. I've got the mount kit off the 460, but again I don't think either of them will do me any good.
Here's the mount on my '79. I actually deleted the A/C. I have the bracket laying around somewhere and could get you some more detailed pictures of it when I find it. The mount actually swoops all the way down to where the power steering bracket mounts to the block. So you would probably need to modify the power steering bracket .

I don't have power steering, so that's not a problem
What style compressor is that for, York or Sanden? Mine had an aftermarket system with a cobbled together mount for a Sanden. I'd love to find an OE mount, or I'll make my own some day.

Couldn't tell ya, the compressor was missing when I bought the truck, I'd assume a York, I doubt somebody would have taken the time to convert this truck over to a Sanden type compressor.
I'd gladly ship this one to you but the shipping would probably be killer from Canada.
