Well guys my 81 F100 is heading to paint shop soon. Its been the plan from day one to paint the truck the same colors as my late father's original 84. Unfortunately I have never been able to get a certain ID on the color or code. From what I have gathered over the years it appears to be a very rare color combo as I have only ever seen one other F150 and a Bronco the same color. Going by PPG's paint code it appears to be 24855 Bright Caramel Poly and 3571 Light Desert Tan. Thought I would get everyone else's opinion.
Thanks guys. The truck pictured is my Father's original truck which was sold 19 years ago. Being as the combo was so rare I do not have a color code and have never seen another one to get the code off of. Long shot, but I was hoping someone was familiar with or had an idea of the color.

Several days ago, a member of the 1973/79 forum w/a 1978 with a similar two-tone paint scheme wanted to know what colors Ford called the paint.
That looks an awful lot like Chingo813's color scheme. His is an 86 as I recall, but it might be worth checking. He has a nice post with pics in the 'what have you done to your truck today thread'. He might be able to check his label for you..
Thanks KsCop. His appears to carry the same Lt. desert tan in the center, however the rest is a brown shade. My fathers was a heavy burnt orange metallic. After going over a couple other paint chips, it's starting to look like it was bright copper metallic.
