I think it was a little more, but yes.
Only thing I had at the time, and my friend was 250 miles away, the tow price would have been stupid so I got him for the price of gas and a rental car hauler.
Not the safest or smartest thing, but **** happens and ya gotta do what ya gotta do. I also didn't know just how heavy these old trucks were at that time. It was a 86 f250 with the 6.9 and a gvwr of like 8800

Time to revive
Ok, still looking for what wheels to get. After reading through this thread and others, I'm not as concerned with the wheel load capacity unless it is dramatically low. What I need is the backspacing and offset for the F250 stock wheels. Bolt pattern, diameter and width are all set.
I was looking at a few wheels I like on TireRack, and some have -6mm offset, others had 10mm. What am I looking for to be as close to stock as I can. This is one of those times Bill, aka NumberDummy would be exceptionally useful. Beyond his normal technical expertise, that is.
