I'm loving them,but between the '55 and my Vette there isn't any money for it. The options of what you can do with it are awesome. Nice price for it too,L8R ZFLASH

It's got a Y-block!
"Locked up" just means that it is yearning to be set free.
If original, I assume it is an early 239. From what I read, a Mercury could have a 256 in '54. '54 239 Y-blocks can be a challenge to find internal parts for.
