ok i have a 99 f150 with a 5.4l v8 I am planning on getting a diablo chip for it and i know i need special programming because i have headers, a mass airflow sensor and a 75mm throttle bodie, i am planning on putting in 4.11 gears in before i get my chip, will that require special programming? and when i get my chip will i need anything other then a 1 stage, i dont plan on switching between the 89 octane and the high octane programming, i only put premium in my truck even withought a chip.
Yes, the gears will require coding as well in order to get the speedometer right. That's included in the same price as all custom coding so it doesn't cost you anything extra. A one stage ought to be fine since you run premium anyway.
Besides your changes: cams, heads, polish and port, larger fuel pumps, different fuel pressure regulators, removal of the O2 sensors, tire size changes (to correct the speedo), nitrous oxide, superchargers, turbos and more.
ok the removal of the o2 sensors- i still have the ones that go before the cat converter but i had the converters removed so i had to put simm 02 sensors for the ones that went behind it, would that require special programming? also i had a superchip power programmer before which i removed because of the other mods and it was supposed to correct the speedometer for the tire size change because i put some bigger tires on but it didn't, my chips computer code is ZZT3, not sure if theres another number after the 3 the sticker is comming off. Would the diable chip be able to correct the mileage for bigger tires with that code?
Yes, the eliminators will require coding. The pulley won't. We should be able to correct tire sizes. All the custom things are on the custom sheet, if its not on the sheet then its probably not something we can code for. Here's the sheet:
