I took apart my engine, and didn't label rods and caps, I've discovered letters on the rods and caps. If can recall correctly there are "D,O,M,C,W,S. The "D and C" are duplicates. I have two rods with "D" and two rods with "C". Do the letters have to match up? And if so what would I do about the duplicates? I'm trying to nat have to take them to the machine shop. Any and all help/advice is greatly appreciated.
I would just match them up as best as you can. I am thinking that replacing the conrod bearings will negate the fact that you mixed up the caps if I remember right the caps do have a front and a back but I dont remember how you can tell. I would definitely get new conrod and main bearings and get your crank turned.
Make sure you check clearances between the rod caps (installed on the crank) and between the rod caps and crank lobe. Not sure the spec. Probably around .002-.003".

I will look it up later and post the clearance for you.
Me? No. Just a brown shoe. I worked the top side on aircraft cariers in the Navy. That's what they (the black shoes - ships crew) called us (airdales).
