Evidently, only a narrow time period occurred when a T18 cover would both fit a T98 -and- had a reverse switch option.
Originally, they used a true T98 cover. Then some versions had a mid design with a reverse switch option. Soon enough, they changed the case and cover to have a bump-out at the (newly-added) reverse shift lever area.

In no way I'm being wise or disrespectful, but what in hell would you do with
replacing double disk clutches on a 10 sp roadranger at 68 yrs old, on
a drippin- stinkin garbage truck? huh atleast one a month? thats what we
do; a T98 is for 5th graders. we work on class 8 stuff dont ya know

them tranny weights are is much as a whole pickup

Wait a second ...... somethings not adding up here. When I'm watching those radical "fix'em up" shows, they are always laughing and joking as they pump up the pedal on the jack....Are you saying that that is hard to do? maybe you need a new jack? LOL!!

Sad to say, I primarily sit in a chair and do electronics stuff for a living. That and influenza B kicked my tail this Winter. But I'm sure glad that I no longer work in a 150F glass factory or repair electric rail vehicles for a living. I do need to walk the dogs more!
