Exhaust Manifold - Question
Need a little help here. Until I can afford the Headers I really want I will be using the stock exhaust manifold. I have two sets of manifolds that are both from small block fords. Since I have one manifold that is flush at the bottom end I thought I could just knock off the gasket. Tried that! What am I missing?

The "donut" on that type are part of the casting. No gasket needed, just bolt the flange on and go. That one might leak now tho.......LOL!
The ones with the flat area require the donut gasket.
