Can any of you tell me how to figure out which one of the sensors in the rear bumper malfunctions. Whenever it gets real wet or in the car wash they wont work till it drys out. This time it has been 2 weeks I just want to fix them. Do any of you know how to diagnose the bad one? Currently the off button just stays on all the time. Thanks for your help.
Check out this thread, it can also be found in the Excursion tech folder.
In the thread is this little gem of info... "Turn key forward to accessory position not running put truck in reverse go to rear of vehicle and the sensors that are working you will feel a pulse or tick and can actually hear them slightly, by touching each one individually the one that does nothing is bad. This is how i fixed mine and now works great I am AWESOME mine was far left one that was bad no expensive tool needed good luck!!"
This is a perfect trick to find out which ones are not working!
The thread also talks about faulty speakers as being an issue. That could be the issue with your Ex. Give the thread a good read over the speaker may be exactly what is plaguing your Ex.
