Need Technician Advice! Front end work 08 SD
Hello, Was wondering if theres any Ford techs on here that see alot of front end work? My 08 F250 needs a L/F upper ball joint and a right front tie rod end. Now Im a Mercedes Tech and the ball joints seem a little intimidating to me, probably because Ive never had one of these apart...also the locking hubs are corroded so im going to replace them. I cant find any videos on the 05+ Dana axles and our AllData site hasnt worked for years. Anything i need to be aware of? This is an Ohio truck so rust may be a problem. I assume the front hub/bearing will need to come off? Are there issues with the studs breaking? Also any seals that must be replaced? Looks like 2 seals that are past the u joints are loose also. And whats up with the r/f tie rod? Is it apart of the whole drag link? Im gnna replace both left and right tie rods also. And lastly how much time would you factor for the ball joints. I gotta get this done in a saturday as I cant tie up my rack for monday. Sorry for all the questions but thanks alot in advance!
