F250 c5 axle code. ??????

F250 c5 axle code. ??????
I have a 97 f250 4x4 5-speed. It has c5 axle code. I'm pretty sure the rear is a 10.250 I'm trying to nail down what the front axle is. It has the 10 bolt cover. Any sure fire way to ID it. I read a Dana 50 should have "229" cast into web but I don't c it. There is a num. cast in on the front which is 620093 and A or R. Any help is greatly app

The easy way to know is to simply look at the front hubs, it they're roughly the same size as the opening in the wheel then it a D50, if there is a noticable step down to a smaller diameter it's the D44HD. Also if your truck is over 8500lb GVWR you have the D50 front axle.
