I love fireworks. They can be beautiful to look at, and remind us of the patriotism we all have for our country. I have a problem though. As I recall, Independence Day is July 4th, not the middle of June until the fireworks run out sometime in July. Am I the only one who gets sick and tired of the little bratty kids in the neighborhood setting off homemade bombs that set off your car alarm? Not to mention the fact that the road in front of the house is totally littered with debris. Once or twice is understandable, but every night for about 2 weeks now I've had to deal with this for hours at a time. Scares the bejeebers out of my 4 year old son and my dog. I've tried being nice and it doesn't help. I'm ready to call the cops and be the neighborhood jerk. Anybody else have a problem with this?
My son's car sets off the car alarm on a neighbor's car down the street just passing by. There is another car alarm somewhere in the neighborhood behind me that goes off all the time. One of these days I am going to load up my 12 GA with 00Buck and put a few rounds thru the engine compartment, then wander on back home in my bathrobe... -I hate stupid car alarms.
Don't get mad at the little devils, Get even. If you can set off the bigger bang, they will know who's boss. The best I have seen done is a 55gal actylene bomb set off about 200 yrds floating up. Sets off a WHOLE lot of car alarms. Thus making you the king of the nieghborhood with this big bang theory. But the 4th is also My favorite holiday next to hunting season.
Yeah you should just make a bigger bang, like put a cherry bomb on your truck and ride 1st hehe. I pull out the .30/06 loaded with plastic sabots, they don't go anywhere (the sabots) and nobody challenges me back.
I know somebody that set off one of those Oxy Acetylene bombs and blew out quite a few windows in the neighborhood... The neighbors were not happy and the cops weren't happy with him either.
