Yeah it doesnt stay down at all. Ive tried pressint it a bunch of times. Holding it down. Nothing. It imediatley pops right back up. And ive tried jumping the 2 wires but the pump didnt run. So could my shutoff switch be bad too?
It's hard to say about your switch as none of us have seen/felt it ourselves. Jumpering the wires eliminates the switch from the equation, so your problems are elsewhere once the switch has been removed from the list of possibilities.
If it is what i think it is, the oil preassure unit still has the 2 wires attached normally. No splicing or anything.
The only fuseable link from the startor solonoid is a 16 guage and i cant tell where it goes. Goes into a wire wrap that disappears into the trucks bowels.
Lastly is the fuel pump relay the green relay under the hood hinge on the driver side? How can you tell if its good or not?
