Just put my in-cab tank back in my 76 highboy. Truck originally built in San Jose, so had evaporative emission line running to canister up front in engine bay. That canister is long gone. Can I just block off this line?
I have both fuel tanks off on my '79 and they have vent valves going into the tops of each tank with short lines along the frame which vent to atmosphere.

The hoses are not short nor do they vent to atmosphere. The hoses route along the right frame rail to the valve on the charcoal canister under the hood. Someone removed the canister.
