So I am changing out some worn out radiator hoses so I figured I might as well do the thermostat while I am there. Should I get a 195 degree or 180 degree replacement? also truck is a 2003 should I be using the orange or green coolant? thanks!

I will tell you for sure 195 and go to ford dealer and buy ford gold coolant. This will make a world of difference.
I had cooling issues once I put ford coolant in I had no problems.

I'd go with a 195° stat. Mine originally had a 175, never had hot heat in winter, exhaust always stunk. Putting the 195 in brought up mpg all around about 1 mpg, made the truck a little smoother runner, and gave me heat. I didn't notice a decrease in power by going hotter, nor did I notice any overheating issues while towing.
