I have a 96 F-superduty 7.3 140k miles. Ran great gets regular oil changes along with everything else. Only issue was CPS that I swapped 6 months ago.
One morning it wouldn't start so I left it. The next morning it started but ran very rough but no smoke. For the past week or so when I would park on a down hill oil would drip down the front of the motor, quite a bit actually leaving a good spot on the ground.
The Ford fleet shop where I get most of my maint/work done says:
1. Replace 4 injectors
2. Reseal oil cooler
3. Pull motor and replace warped oil pan (not happening)
4. No codes so no clue.
The powerstroke experts at work say the IPR is leaking into the valley, that's the oil leak, and lower psi is rough running. Others say EBV, or valve cover gasket harness fried.
