I had them on my first Ex, an Eddie Bauer Edition. I found them useful, but not something I have missed. Honestly I had forgotten about them until I saw your pic.
Be interested in knowing how those work out if you do get them. I need a place to store my ****** straps. Right now they're in the spare tire cover and it's kind of full between them plus the two jump cables and several ratchet straps.
Those storage dohickies project into your rear cargo bay on the EX, several (or at least a few....) members here have done nice homebrew storage areas on the INSIDE of the barn doors, so no loss of cargo area volume. The rear barn doors are hollow so they can make for nice little catch-alls. I think one of the Icelandic giant EXs has a bar setup in the barn doors.
Just do a search, there have been 3 others besides me that have taken the plunge (cut lol) and made storage IN the doors. Much better use of time and space
I didn't catch the dimensions of those tire/wheels or amount of body/suspension lift....did anyone else catch the stats?
If so, please relay them here....
Personally I think the bar is a little dumb but to each his own I guess. Just seems like the first real bump and half the stuff would be broken.
Which stuff? The stainless shot glasses or the tightly secured bottles that have already been driven over 1000's of miles of rough terrain? I'm not sure we are watching the same video...
